The following articles are from an issue of the Journal of Obesity which is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies in all areas of obesity. What I really enjoyed about this particular issue was the fact that it included more than twenty full-text research papers involving exercise and weight control. After reading the first paper which offers an update on exercise and weight control – take a look at the following papers, one on High-Intensity Intermittent Exercise and Fat Loss (Boutcher, 2011) and the other on Evidence for Resistance Training as a Treatment Therapy in Obesity (Strasser and Schobersberger, 2011). Some of these exercise protocols that are featured are ideal for changing body composition using high-intensity, short duration types of exercise.
