The six-pack is one of those things that everyone says they want, but relatively few people actually bother to put the energy into getting it. While it does take a fair amount of effort to build up a good six-pack, the truth is that it might not be as hard as you think. The trick is in knowing the basic powerful techniques for building the six-pack, rather than wasting your time on methods which won’t get you very far. Anti Movements

The way you train is obviously hugely important if you want to end up with a six-pack. Mostly, you should try to focus on training with so-called anti movements. These are the kind of exercises you do when you are resisting movement, rather than fixing it. So anything which means your core has to resist against a force is what you want to do more of, even if sometimes it can seem a little counter-intuitive. Focus on these anti movements if you want to develop a strong core and a six-pack much faster.


It is incredible just how important hydration is to getting and maintaining a six-pack. Dehydration is one of the most common underlying causes of fatty or bloated tummy areas, so to fix bloated abs you should make sure you drink plenty of water. It is especially important to drink water after your workout, but you should also make sure you don’t forget to hydrate yourself plenty during the day as well. Go for the minimum requirement at least, and see if you can even double it, especially on workout days.

You might think that the more you train the better, but this is not true. When it comes to muscle training, you need to allow your muscles time to rest if you want them to really develop and build in the way you want. It is between sessions that your muscles do the necessary repair work, and believe it or not this repair work can actually be hugely necessary as part of the building process. So allowing your abs to rest a long time in between sessions will mean that they build more, and faster. You should aim for, on average, around three to four sessions a week. This allow the perfect balance between exercise and resting.


Knowing what and when to eat is hugely important if you want to build any muscle group, particularly your abs. You should not cut down on how much you are eating, but rather make sure you are eating good foods. You want plenty of whole foods if you are to build muscle, and you should try to eat five or six small meals a day. This will put you in the best nutritional position for developing a fantastic six-pack in no time. Don’t worry about calories so much as the quantity of the food.
